Q

Describe The Method Of This Investigation
(8 Points)

A

1) Make up series of known vitamin C concentrations. E.g. 6.

2) Used a measuring cylinder to measure out 1cm3 of DCPIP solution into a test tube.

3) Add one of the vitamin C solutions, drop by drop, to the DCPIP solution using a pipette.

4) Gently shake the test tube for a set period of time after adding each drop.

5) Once the solution turns colourless, record the volume of vitamin C solution added. I.e. Number of drops.

6) Repeat the experiment 2x more, with the same solution and take an average of the readings.

7) Repeat the process with each solution.

8) Use the results to draw a curve of best fit, showing the volume of vitamin C solution against its concentration, which is known as the calibration curve.
