Consultant: What is Osgood Schlatters disease?
A
A traction apophesitis. The patella tendon pulls on the tibial tuberosity. The developing epiphesial growth plate allows the epiphesis to move and leads to inflammation.
Rest is advised and the condition usually self resolves in 2yrs.
