  • Functional activities reproduce symptoms (squat, steps)

- Atrophy: gluteals, quads, hamstrings

PFP Palpation

A
Rule in (concordant pain):
- Patella

Rule out:

  • ITB (LFC)
  • Patella Tendon
  • Infrapatella fat pad
  • Tibia and Femoral Condyles
  • (OA) + Tibiofemoral joint line (meniscus)

Non-concordant sensitivity:

  • Quadriceps
  • Hamstrings
  • Gluteals
  • lumbar spine

  • PFJ passive movements
  • McConnell’s test

Rule out:

  • PT Isometric Loading test
  • Hip FADIR test
  • Lumbar Quadrant
