Describe the clinical presentation of a Basal Cell Carcinoma
A
- Transluscent, pearly, appearance with smooth surface
- Some pigmentation, telangiectases
- Ulceration in more advanced lesions

Describe the pathological features of BCC
A
Cells: dermal nests of basaloid cells surrounded by rims of mucin. Sometimes there is melanin.
Location: in basal layer, overlying epidermis usually intact but there can be ulceration in more advanced cases
