-eg, Castleton –> 6 cafes, 5 gift shops. 1 general store which changes tourist prices(they become more expensive)
this is bad because it means that local people have to pay more money just because of the tourists.

- at peak times, the air quality around the popular honeypot sites is worse than central London
95% of tourists arrive by car
get stuck in traffic jams because of the narrow country roads

- surrounded by large cities. eg, Manchester and Sheffield
- many main roads(eg, A515) and motorways(eg, M62) that lead to it
