Knitted fabrics
Made using interlocking loops using one or more yarn 2 main types of looping are weft and warp knitting
Weft knits
Single yarn travels width of fabric in same way weft yarn does in woven fabric each successful row of loops links with previous row of loops in fabric
Simplest knit
Can be produced by hand or machine
Very stretchy
Distorts easily in wash
Drapes well and figure hugging
Does not crease easily
Traps air so good insulator in still air
Moving are can still pass so cool to wear too in these conditions
