State and explain the trend in melting and boiling point from sodium to aluminium

It increase because of the strength of the metallic bond this is because the charge of the ion increases and so more delocalised electrons can join the metallic lattice

State why silicon has such a large melting point

It's a macromolecule structure with many electrons meaning the size of van der waals forces increases meaning a lot energy is needed to overcome these binds

State and explain the trend in atomic radi across a period

It reduces

Because across a period nuclear charge increases as more protons are added meaning outer shells are more attracted to the charge of the nucleus meaning they are pulled closer to it

Why does atomic raid increase down a group

This is because an extra main level of electrons is added making the atom larger
