What are the main characteristics of an introvert?
Introverts tend to be quiet, shy, and reserved.
Describe activities and sports that introverts enjoy doing:
Introverts enjoy practising, and tend to play individual sports. The activities they do tend to require high levels of concentration.
What are the main characteristics of an extrovert?
Extroverts tend to be sociable, talkative, enthusiastic, and active.
Describe activities and sports that extroverts enjoy doing:
Extroverts are prone to boredom, and so enjoy playing sports where low levels of concentration are required. They tend to play team sports.
Define Motivation:
Motivation is the drive to succeed, or the desire to achieve or be inspired to do something: this motivation can be either intrinsic or extrinsic.
Define Intrinsic Motivation, and name some examples:
Intrinsic motivation is the drive to succeed that comes from within. (e.g. satisfaction, self- confidence, self-esteem, pride, and achievements)
Define Extrinsic Motivation, and name some examples:
Extrinsic motivation is the drive to perform well or win in order to gain external rewards. (e.g. applause, prizes, medals, money, praise, certificates)
