What is Photosynthesis?
It is how plants make chemical energy (glucose) using intensity.
Where does Photosynthesis happen?
In Chlorophyll in Chloroplasts.
What is the Light Dependent Stage?
The light-dependent stage needs light.
Splitting of water into oxygen and hydrogen.
Provides hydrogen and ATP needed for stage 2.
Oxygen is released by diffusion into the air as a by-product.
What is the Carbon Fixation Stage?
Carbon Fixation occurs in the chloroplast.
The temperature-dependent stage does not need light.
Powered by ATP made in stage 1.
Hydrogen from stage 1 combines with CO2 to form glucose.
How is the use of Glucose used?
Used in Respiration (use chemical energy yo make ATP).
Converted into larger carbohydrate molecules.
What is Starch?
Storage.
What is Cellulose?
Structural (cell walls).
