Noun phrase
A
- A phrase built around a noun
- DETERMINER + MODIFIERS + NOUN
- The tall boy in the red jacket opened the door.
- An energetic dog jumped up at me.

A
- A phrase made up of a main verb and any modal/auxiliary verbs
- AUXILLARY/MODAL + MAIN VERB
- She might have seen the message.

- A group of words centered around an adjective
- They were extremely fond of chocolate

A
- A group of words functioning as an adverb
- I left in the middle of the night
