What are significant figures in physics?
Significant figures are the numbers given as results of experiments, ensuring they are neither over-accurate nor less accurate than the result.
How do you determine significant figures?
Count from the first non-zero number, including all zeros unless there is a decimal point. If the fourth digit is 5 or above, adjust the last significant figure.
What is the formula for density?
P = m/V[Density=mass/Volume]
What is the formula for speed?
S = D/t
How should you plot data on a graph?
Place the independent variable on the x-axis and the dependent variable on the y-axis. Use bar or neat crosses for points, joining them for line graphs or drawing a line of best fit for scatter graphs.
How do you make predictions using a graph?
Use the line of best fit to make predictions.
What is the conversion for millimeters to centimeters?
