Glasses= symbol of his intellect and his ability to see and understand things that others can’t (metaphorically)
Glasses= there only way of obtaining fire - FIRE= symbol of hope ang going home

-Piggy cares about democracy and will look after it
CONCH= Symbol of democracy and civilisation
CONTEXT: the working class needed democracy to make sure they weren’t disadvantaged and had the chance to thrive

Tiresias= blind prophet with an exceptional ability to perceive and understand the truth that others miss
