Complications/ Rising Actions- a series of complications, the main characters take action to solve problems

Turning Point/ Crisis- main characters make a choice that determines the direction of the action. Upward is a comedy, downward is a tragedy.
The crisis is the dramatic and tense moment when the forces of conflict come together
