1626, Parliament did not grant Charles enough money that he desired, Charlees asked for more money and parliament refused therefore Charles I dissolved them in 1626

What was the five knights case and why did it happen ?

A

Charles imposed a forced loan in 1626 on his subjects to raise funds without parliamentary approval. This led to 1627 Five knights case, they refused to pay the loan and were imprisoned and refused bail.

1627 Charles forces were defeated again at La Rochelle.

A

A set of parliamentary statements, these denounced Arminianism and encouraged merchants to refuse tonnage and poundage (Imposed tax on imports and exports) .
