New Labour (Third Way)
Middle-ground alternative route to traditional socialism that adapt left-wing values to a globalised modern economy
Old Labour (social democracy)
ideological belief that capitalism should be regulated to promote social justice, equality, and maintain a welfare state
One nation
The belief that the wealthy in society have a duty to help the poor to maintain social cohesion
New Right
emphasise the idea of free-markets, individual responsibility and a minimal state
Classical liberals
Ppl who believe individual freedom is best achieved through minimal government intervention
Modern liberals
believe in individual freedom but support govt intervention to reduce inequality and ensure equal opportunity
Party system
The way that political parties are structured and grouped
Left-wing
political beliefs which emphasise social equality, wealth redistribution, and government intervention to achieve greater fairness in society.
Right-wing
political beliefs which supports, free markets, individual responsibility and a minimal state, with a greater role for the free market and business.
