A

Age >50
Temporal arteritis
Female

What are Sx of PMR?

A

Shoulder, pelvic girdle, hip pain.

Onset < 4 weeks

Stiffness > 45 minutes

proximal muscle pain

Low grade fever, MSK signs, CTS, upper arm tenderness, fatigue, weight loss

A

Bloods (ESR and CRP elevated)
US: bursitis

exclude others

A

Oral pred trial, recheck CRP and ESR with calcium vit D bisphosphonates etc.
