  • He was sent to Ireland to destroy Tyrone’s Rebellion but failed and called a truce and went back to England without Lizzy’s permission
    -Elizabeth puts him under house arrest, strips him of his monopoly of sweet wines which had meant he went on to revolt.

- gathered 300 supporters. His plan was the seize the Queen and remove Robert Cecil from court. Only lasted 12 hours and 17 days after he was executed.
