What Is grace?

Scripture reference: Titus 2:11-15, particularly 11-12, Romans 11:6

A

Come from Greek word charis = God’s goodwill, loving Kindness and favour towards us through the merits of Christ. It is his unmerited and undeserved favor towards us allowing us to be reconciled with him by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and no work of our own. God’s grace provides the foundation for how believers are to behave and think by : denying ungodliness and worldly (immoral) desires, to live sensible, upright, and godly lives (move with purpose representing spiritual maturity) in the world. *And confidently awaiting the return of JC. Who willingly gave up Himself to be sacrified and died on the cross so we can be redeemed with God the Father and bought our freedom from sin, so He could have a purified, chosen and pecular people to cheerfully do His good will. We are to proclaim this to all people and rebuke wickedness and conduct ourselves in a way that commands respect.

After the * this can be used to decribe the Gospel of Grace.

What is false grace?

Scripture reference: Jude 1:4

A

When someone distorts (twist the image of) God’s grace into decadence (moral decline due to excessive indulgence and pleasures of luxuries) and the opportunity to do what ever they want (immoral freedom), and deny and disown (refuse connection to) our Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.

Ex: my works are good enough to get me into heaven. I was saved and repented at baptism and forever will be in God’s grace so I can lie as much as I want and not fear Hell.

What is the false Gospel?

Scripture reference: Galatians 1:6-10 paul talking to Church of Galatia in letter.

A

Any doctrine or preaching that denies Jesus is the Son of God, that rejects repentence for our sin in order to be saved. Rejects one must have faith in the teachings, sacrifice, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ (on the thrid day) to redeem us from our sins is necessary to repent, nor is Jesus necessary to be reconciled with God in order to enter into heaven. It involves false grace as well.

What is the true gospel?

Scripture Reference: (Romans 5:1-2, 8-9)

A

We were sinners, but God loved us enough that through His grace we are given the opportunity to be back in a relationship with Him, because the sacrifice of Jesus (His blood), who was God in the flesh, washed away our sins and declared us blameless (justified) before God. Now we can confidently and fully rejoice in the revealing of God power in excellence. And have access to the holy spirit to help us naturally behave as Christ.

How do we restore the friendship or harmony by the action of denying ourselves for the Grace of God?

reconcile - settle, resolve, think change and exchange.

Scripture reference: Ephesians 3:8, also Gal 5:17, John 3:17

A

Paul used to be Saul and persecuted the church, but grace of God helped him to change from a persecutor to a preacher. Denying yourself means what you wanted to do before as your old willing sinful self, your desires are extinguised by repentance which is a journey. But your repentant because you desire to be reconciled with God, receive his promise of eternal life, no longer suffering alone, and to be protected. The God’s grace helps you see were you have errored by the teachings of Jesus Christ. In order to repent you must have faith, faith comes by God’s grace:
1. undeserved grace
2. Grace brought us to Him - we weren’t seeking it
3. Allows us to God access to our lives
4. Gives us ability to stay sanctified by the Holy spirit, making it a natural response.
In Ephesians 3:8: Paul explains in the letter to the the Church of Ephesus that God gave him grace to preach the Gospel to the Gentiles of the infinite riches of JC. He recognized who he use to be, a prosecutor of the Church, making him lesser of the saints. But the grace of God exemplified through JC helped him to be saved, turn away (repentant) from be a prosecutor and have him the ability to be a mighty preacher for God.

Q

Can we try and force ourselves to be something in the kingdom of God?

Scripture reference: Galatians 5:16-18, 20-24

A

No, we can’t force ourselves. Because the Holy spirit given to us by the grace of God makes it a natural response to want what God wants and hate what he hates. It bestows individual gifts to every believer and accelerates them based on their maturity. Believers, which still have free will, are to walk in the spirit (Gal 5:16-18) and not live for self-serving lifestyle explained in Galations 5:20-21, these actions and behaviors will not allowed by God into heaven. Our sinful natures contradicts the Holy spirit and vice versa so we muct seek the Holy Spirit constantly to receive its fruits.

What is the New Convenant, who was it made with and the purpose?

Scripture reference: Hebrews 8:10 and 1 John 3:23

A

In short It is the OT revealed by God having JC fulfill all the prophesies of the OT. The New covenant was made with the house of Isreal through Jesus Christ but was the made available to all nations after the Jews rejection of Him (Romans 9:25-26 - quoting Hosea). The purpose was for the Law to be imprinted in our minds and instilled in our hearts so that God’s people will know Him. It commands us to believe in the name and person Jesus Christ and love one another as He commanded. It contains the prophecies JC fulfilled, His teachings and from His disciples. The books contained in it are: the Gospels, Acts of the Apostles, letters and a book of Prophecy.

I would read the chapter of Hebrews 8 and 1 John 3:22-24
