BENZENE
is a C7 aromatic liquid that is colorless, water-insoluble and has a sweet to pungent odor. It is also highly flammable and volatile. Typically used as solvent, gasoline additive, and precursors to various industrial chemicals such as polyurethane, benzoic acid, phenol, and benzaldehyde.
TOLUENE
is a colorless aromatic liquid. It is a mixture of C8 aromatics consisting of three xylene isomers (o-xylene, m-xylene, and p-xylene) and ethylbenzene. Used primarily as a solvent and precursor to polyethylene terephthalate (PET).
MIXED XYLENES
is a colorless to light yellow liquid consisting of C9 to C10 aromatics. Typically used as a solvent, fuel additive, and precursor to aromatic hydrocarbon resins
