- Purpose promoting / facilitation of crime / offense

Yes as long as other crimes are natural and probable consequences of the accomplice’s conduct

The underlying felony merges into the crime of felony murder

When a single act simultaneously fulfills the definition of two separate offenses and lesser offense drops out

- Burning - must affect structure + charring if wood
- Dwelling of another - expanded to own house + non-dwellings but doesn’t include burning contents

- Larceny - (a) trespassory, (b) taking / carry away, (c) personal property (d) of another
- Fraud / deceit
- Conversion of property of another
What is the effect of doing a substantial step for an attempted crime?
The crime is completed + can’t abandon or withdraw anymore
What is the effect of impossibility on an attempted crime?
- Factual impossibility is not a defense if substantial step has been taken
- Legal impossibility is a defense if intended act is not a crime
