Developmental age: time since fertilization

Why is there an increase in minute ventilation during pregnancy?
So that the CO2 gradient between mother and baby increases, facilitating O2 transfer to fetus

Severe form of morning sickness that includes weight loss of 5%+ of prepregnancy weight and ketosis

It increases by 50%
