An insider pressure group is a group with connections to parliament, usually the can bring in bills etc because of that.

Insider can become outside and vice versa ( labour supports trade unions more)

They defend interests of particular people like the members
Promotional groups meaning
They protest for specific clause eg prison reform trust. They’re inclusive
Think tanks as an influence on parliament
Example= policy exchange

Paid to influence gov , some ex politicians , eg david Cameron
