Q

What is secondary data?

Q

What are the pros of primary data?

A

Since we collect our own data, for our own very specific experiment, we can make sure that the data we collect, is in 100% suitable format to test the hypothesis.

Q

what are the pros of secondary data?

A

less expensive and less time consuming, because you dont have to conduct anything. The data is already there.

Q

What is meta analysis?

A

when researchers combine the results from multiple studies at the same topic, together, to estimate the size of the effect of the treatment or intervention.

Q

what are the pros of meta-analysis?

A

1.combines results from multiple studies in the same topic. Meaning that the researcher has a much bigger sample than they would have had, if they conducted their own study.
2.bigger sample zise, increases the internal validity of the study, because the study is more likely to measure what it claims to be measuring.

Q

what are the cons of meta-analysis?

A

if some of the individual studies, in meta analysis, are very diferent, or very poor designed and lack validity, then the meta analysis that combines them, will also lack validity.
