Fasting principles

A

2 hrs clear fluid (ASA 1,2), traditionally 6 hrs.
Paeds N2O - 2 hrs solids & liquids
IV - 6 hrs solds, 4 hrs breast feed, 2 hrs clear fluid

A

Non invasive monitor of EtCO2
Monitor ventilation/apnoea
