A

There is no requirement for KAI to co-ordinate with WN TMA for aircraft F260 or above that are EAST of common boundary in the vicinity of NZWB, provided they are NO FURTHER EAST of a north/south line running through the WB VOR

Q

What is the procedure to be followed whenever a flight is inbound from NZCI to NZCH below F245?

A

The aircraft shall be cleared on an appropriate STAR which is authorisation for the aircraft to enter controlled airspace. If a STAR POP-UP is not available, an appropriate route clearance to DEST shall be issued.

Q

What effect does a change of CFL have on the flight plan of an aircraft to which a climbing condition has been entered via the co-ordination window?

A

Any modification will cancel a climb/descent condition sent to OCS via the co-ord window. If a CFL change is co-ordinated:
Skyline CFL shall be modified and
All level data, including X-ing level shall be entered into the window again to ensure correct levels are sent to OCS

Q

Under what conditions are flights inbound to Area via GOPLU and KABKA considered laterally separated from each other?

A

Flights on the BELEE STAR are laterally separated from flights on/for the GOPLU transition to SIMZI (and vice versa)
Note – if an inbound flight for KABKA/SIMZI does not have a STAR POP-UP or is not STAR capable, then co-ord is required with the adjacent sector

Q

Explain the procedure to be followed for flights departing NZWB into the KAI sector

A

Pre-departure co-ordination with KAI not required
WN TMA shall not climb aircraft above 10,000 ft without specific approval from KAI
WN TMA are responsible for separation between these and northbound flights for which they have a posting or EST prior to the flight posting to KAI
Aircraft may inter KAI airspace off track under own navigation direct to ELPIT. WN TMA shall ensure aircraft is established inside CTA above radar terrain when released to KAI
