Euphoria
An exaggerated feeling of well being contentment.
Fantasy
An imagined sequence of events or mental images e.g. daydreams.
Empowerment
Refers to a range of therapeutic activities which seek to put the client in charge of his/her life, thereby taking them out of the victim role.
Etiology
Causation; the systematic study of the causes of disorders and/or disease.
Double-Bind
A situation in which an individual will be disapproved for performing a given act and equally disapproved if he or she does not perform it.
Empathy
A limited, temporary, healthy form of identification. It enables one person to feel with and for another and to understand their experiences and feelings.
Emotion
A nearly continuous flow of accelerated speech with abrupt changes from topic to topic, usually based on understandable associations, distracting stimuli, or play on words. When severe, the speech may be disorganized and incoherent.
