Q

What is agile project management?

A

Projects run in an agile way use quick, iterative project release cycles. It’s a flexible approach to project management based on principles of continuous improvement and collaboration-teams are encouraged to work together efficiently and creatively.

Agile methods allow for changes to be made based on stakeholder feedback, which means scope can evolve over the lifecycle of a project.
In an agile project, only time and cost are fixed.

Q

What is waterfall project management?

A

Waterfall methods require detailed planning upfront, with the full scope of the project and its deliverables, known and agreed in advance. Each step is laid out, dependencies are mapped out against them, and as you work through the project, you can only move onto the next stage once you’ve completed the previous one.

With a waterfall methodology, plans can be repeated for future projects.
