Project Manager
Responsible for ensuring the work gets done on time, all issues are resolved, and the project achieves its goals. Oversees the entire project
Process Owner
Takes responsibility for continually improving the process once the team redesigns it. They should be thoroughly familiar with the redesign process, open to making further changes as needed, and able to influence
- Could be for another project in which the project is landed to later
- Bring these people in early for insights
Process Users
Individuals who work directly in the process. Select a representative sample.
Skeptics
Teams also benefit from one or more skeptics – people who will challenge the design process
- Prevents you from going down a useless rabbit hole
- Points out something in the project you might missed
- Help push the project to be better
Facilitator
If your project is extensive, consider including a facilitation specialist-someone with expertise in leading team meetings. Often, the project manager can fill this role
- Person that runs the meetings
- Keeps us in track and set polished expectations
Technology Expert
Technology plays a vital role. Thus, having access to a technology expert can be valuable. Bring in people like data engineers
Champion
Having somebody at a higher level who believes in the process pays additional dividends, especially in the implementation process.
- Bring it at the beginning of the project
- Bring in an executive early because they see everything and provide important perspectives for the project based on this
What is the difference between EDA and Feature Engineering?
Feature engineering is adding additional things to replace issues with better solutions while EDA is getting to know your data
