due to the nature of the procedure I’ll be gettting another member of staff to chaperone. They are fimalier with the procdure and are here for your comfort and the safety of both os us

Positioning
could you take off your trousers and underwear

and lie on the bed FLAT

Genitalia: Inspection

1. pubic hair distribution
2. scrotum- rashes, nodules, swellings, scars, veins
3. meatus- discharge
4. foreskin- presence, tight as in phimosis,
5. glans- inflammation, warts, ulcers, tumours

Genitalis: Palpation

CHECK IF IN PAIN

1. Testis: size, texture, firmness of each testi
2. Epididymis: nodules or swelling and added tenderness.
3. feel spermatic chord

put gloves on

look at perianal area and note:
fissures
rashes
haemorrhoids
prolapse

Question 6

Prostate: Insertion

Answer 6

1. place the pulp of the index finger on the anal margin. Wait until the anal sphincter relaxes and insert
2. Note:
   size
   swellings
   texture
   firmness
   tenderness
