UK copyrights, designs and and patents act 1988 provided covered for 70 years after death
Unregistered design rights - give legal protection for designers to stop unauthorized copying for 10 years
Registration not required but then ownership harder to prove in dispute

© Symbol used, metadata and watermarks on digital files make it easier to assert ownership
Good to keep early drafts, sketches
UK copyright services provides independant evidence of authorship
