What is the protein structure hierarchy?
A
Primary – linear; secondary – alpha helic & beta sheet; tertiary: globular & fibrous; quaternary: 2+ protein strands

Special functions of protein groups?
A
Proline (pro at bending), cysteine (bridge for stability), and methionine (me first)

How do protein groups like to group?
A
Nonpolar with nonpolar, vice versa. Charged amino acids (proteins) are hydrophilic.

What are the characteristics of proteins?
A
Amino acids. Function as enzymes, structural material, peptides, defense, movement, and catalysts. They are polymers
