Q

Who was martin luther?

A

He was a monk and professor , he became disillusioned with the church because of the indulgences ect.
He posted the 95 theses about critisisms about the catholic church which was meant to reform the catholic church however due to printing copies were made leading to a revolt in germany by the pesants. As a result the pope branded martin luther as a heratic and he was excommunicated from the church in 1521. Revolt failed but this lead to protestant reformation.
