A

They were trained with Auftragstaktik. The soldiers could decide flexibility on the battlefields rather than follow specific orders from far away command centres.

A

A Prussian officer can decide what to do depending on the situation flexibly but a French officer has to obey the orders from command centres although the circumstances change or else he will be court-martialed and punished.

What rifle did the Prussians use and what was its service history?

A

The Prussian soldiers used the Dreyse needle gun, a breech-loading rifle but with less range. Although the Dreyse needle gun had a shorter range, the Prussians had been using them for 25 years against the Austrians and the Danes and had a lot of experience using the gun.

What advantage did the Prussian artillery have against the French artillery?

A

The Prussian artillery was made of steel as compared to the French artillery, which was made of bronze. It was breech-loaded and designed by Krupp, one of the best designers of artillery of all time. It could fire more than twice the range of the French artillery and is also deadlier.
