Broca’s Aphasia

A

problems with speech production (physically hard to move mouth)
- you can understand others

Broca’s area -> frontal lobe
- B first in alphabet, frontal lobe, first part of brain

Wernicke’s Aphasia = W W = word salad

A

problem processing and understanding language (word salad)
- no problem mechanically moving mouth but words don’t make sense

Wernicke’s area -> temporal lobe
