A

An unwritten rule about what is acceptable within a particular society

What is statistical infrequency?

A

When behaviour is seen as abnormal as it is numerically rare. Abnormality is determined by looking at the distribution of a particular behaviour within society.

Explain the ‘ unusual characteristics can be positive’ evaluation point for statistical infrequency

A

It is a limitation as iq scores over 130 would be thought of as super intelligence or a gift rather than an undesirable characteristic. Showing that just because few people display certain behaviour it does not make the behaviour abnormal.
