What does each label do

A
  • Theleaves of ferns consist of manyfronds connected to a leafblade. On each leaflet, there are small brown patches calledsori (singular:sorus) on the lower surface. The sori producespores that are released when mature.
  • Rhizome,a horizontal underground plant system that facilitates root and stem growth.
  • Theroot system is classified asadventitious– meaning the roots sprout directly from the rhizome.
