What is the difference between the purification of protein and the purification of enzymes?

• The methods used to purify enzymes are the same as purifying protein since most
  enzymes are proteins.
• The only difference is that for specific enzymes, the Activity or Specific Activity of
  enzymes can be determined by using Activity Assay methods.
• Also the purification steps of the enzyme can be monitored by calculating the value of
  ‘Fold Purification’
