Midstream urine sample for MCS before starting ABx
If pt needs IVAB or admission, collect blood cultures prior to ABX
Consider imaging (CT) if symptoms suggest kidney/ureteric stones and to r/o urinary obstruction/ renal abscess if the patient remains febrile after 72hours of appropriate abx tx

Only perform post treatment urine culutre in pregnancy and htose with acute bacterial prostatitis

Non pregnant: PO amoxicillin and clavulante or ciprofloxacin -> then modified acc to MCS

IV gentamicin
