Quality of life
The general well being or happiness of a person or society, as measured by meeting basic needs
Poverty
Having little or no money, possessions, or other resources to meet their basic needs.
Equality
All people are treated the same, regardless of where they live and what their differences are.
Inequality
The lack of equality between people
Human development
The process of increasing people’s freedoms and opportunities, as well as improving their happiness/well being
Human development index
Used to measure what a country’s QOL is. Ranking them based on longevity, income, and knowledge.
Wealth
The total value of a country’s resources, which includes material goods, natural resources, and Human Resources.
Economy
A system by which goods and services are produced, sold and bought in a country or region.
Global development
To improve the QOL in countries around the world by sustainably improving social, political, economic, and environmental systems.
Population growth
An increase in the number of people in a population.
