312.3 Juveniles who should not be held:
The following juveniles should not be held in custody
- unconscious
- seriously injured
- known suicide risk or obvious severe emotionally disturbed
- significantly intoxicated
(except if approved by watch commander- medical clearance needed for drugs, alcohol, or intoxicating substance if unable to care for self) - extremely violent or continuously violent
Officers should initiate medical or mental health and notify supervisor
If juvenile is suicidal, juvenile should be under continuous direct supervision until evaluation, release or a transfer is completed
