A

x-rays taken every 20 minutes as barium enters the colon

Why would you order an HIDA scan and what does it tell you?

A

HIDA= Hepatobiiary scan

  • used to dx problems of the liver/gallbladder/bile ducts
  • it is a gallbladder scan is the only method used to dx conditions of the liver, gallbladder and bile duct
