What is posterior?
Positioned toward the rear of the body when standing in anatomical position.
What is anterior?
Refers to the forward/frontal side of the body when standing in anatomical position.
What is superior?
Closer to the cranial
What is inferior?
Closer to the pedal
Lateral?
From the mid line of the body toward the outside (toward the arm in standing in anatomical position)
Medial?
From the outside toward the midline of the body
Superficial?
It is a term used to describe structures that are closer to the exterior of the body.

Refers to structures closer to the centre of the body region.
E.g. (Skin is superficial to bone, whilst Bone is deep to skin)

Horizontal cube around body when standing in anatomical position.
The body is standing erect, with face forward, the arms at the side, and the toes and the palms are facing forward.
