What is Negative Liberty? philosophical concepts of freedom.
the absence of constraints, such as laws, or rules.

the presence of self-control, self awareness, and self-realization. to live your life as you choose.
What is Republican liberty?philosophical concepts of freedom.
opposite of slavery. to not control others.

Pushing people towards things that they might have not chosen on their own.
What is Utilitarian Obligations?
Do what creates the greatest happiness, or least unhappiness, for the majority.
What is Social Contract Obligations?
Have to follow the rules of the contracts we consented to.

We agree by participating and not objecting.
What is Residence as consent?
we consent by not leaving.
What is Voting as consent?
we consent by voting for some laws, and not voting against others.
What is Hypothetical consent?
we consent because the laws are laws that reasonable people wouldn’t object to.
What is consent due to fairness?
If we receive a benefit, it’s only fair to give something in return. Not doing so would be taking advantage without contributing.
What is consent due to community?
being members of political group we have to protect and and follow rules of whatever groups we are a member of.
What is conscientious objection?
when people refuse to do an action because of their moral or religious beliefs. an example of this would be muslims not eating pork or drinking alcohol.
