what is a desert habitat?
Any place that gets less than 25 cm of rainfall, part of a land called dryland.
how many layers of the rainforest is there?
there are 4 layers (Canopy, Under-story, Emergent, Forest Floor)
what is a rainforest habitat?
rainforests are very wet and warm places due to high rainfall.
what are ways of conserving a habitat?
protect endangered species, restore damaged habitats, go for a plant based diet, using eco friendly products, remove invasive species.
What is the Canopy layer?
3-4 meters tall, contains majority of trees, very leafy, (insects, birds, reptiles and mammals)
what is the Under-Story layer?
contains many large leaf plants, and home to (snakes, birds, lizards and large predators)

slate and mud are brought together by the tide of the sea.
what is an intertidal habitat?
where land and ocean meet.
what is a threat to rainforest habitats?
drought, deforestation, wildfires.
what is a mangrove habitat?
filled with mangrove trees that can survive in salt water.
what is a threat to ocean habitats?
overfishing, rising sea levels, pollution.
what is a threat to desert habitats?
drought, climate change, invasive species.
