Christian believers

A

If Jesus wasn’t resurrected Christian faith is founded on a lie
+
Refers to Genesis 3
Adams disobedience to God brought death into the world, Jesus total obedience brought resurrection.
+
Specific order
‘Christ the first fruits’ already resurrected
‘Those who belong to Christ’ will be resurrected ‘at his coming’ at the end of time.

(15:52) “the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable”

23
Q

1 Corinthians 15:35-50

Plant analogy, discusses what kind of body are the dead raised?

A

The body that is ‘planted’ in the earth is perishable, dishonourable, weak, physical.
The body that is raised is imperishable, glorious, strong, spiritual. The resurrection body therefore excels over the earthly body as a plant excels over a seed.
“The man of heaven” excels over “the man of dust”

24
