What will cause the RCIC F010, CST suction, to open automatically?

A

This N.O. valve receives an open signal upon system initiation (LL2), and will open if closed unless both F031 and F029 are open.

What is the effect on RCIC when the system is injecting and RPV level reaches 206”?

A

High RPV level of 206 inches causes F045 to close. F045 FC causes F013 injection valve to close. Steam line drain valves F025, F026 open due to F045 FC. Cond’t Pump Discharge valves to RBEDT F004 and F005 lose their auto close function when F045 closes. Cooling water supply valve F046 does NOT auto close on lack of initiation signal.

What is the effect of putting a RCIC valve control in manual at the MCC with regards to PCIS?

A

PCIS valves in local will no longer close on a Group 5 isolation and they cannot be operated from the control room
