Define: Materialistic happiness
when people believe that buying things will make them happy. E.G buying lots of clothes.
Define: True happiness
When happiness comes from within a person. E.G being loved by your family.
Explain 4 way why wealth, fame, power and approval of peers DO NOT bring everlasting happiness
- Some people try and make lots of money/material possessions.
- Some people try to become famous or gain power.
- People who look for happiness in these ways are never fully satisfied.
- The desire for true and lasting happiness is very deep.
