Nebbiolo is the primary grape growns in the piedmont region in NW Italy. It’s the grape in aged Barolos, the big red of Italy. Considered one of Italy’s noble varieties and is known for it’s aromatic qualities. The name comes from the Italian word “nebbia” which means “fog” in Italian - as fog blankets the Piedmont hills in fall before the harvest.
