Q

Negatives of tourism to reduce development gap (Jamaica)

A

Quality of life:
In the northern tourist areas, wealthy Jamaicans live in high-quality housing with a high standard of living but people live nearby in poor housing with limited food supply and inadequate access to freshwater health care and education so it does not help everyone

The environment:
Mass tourism creates footpath erosion, excessive waste and harmful emissions however it can also bring environmental benefits like conservation and landscaping projects which improves the look of the island, brings jobs and encourages people to visit
