This was a turning point battle for control of the subcontinent between the British EIC and the Bengal Subah on June 23, 1757, in Plassey, Bengal Subah. The British were led by Robert Clive and led to the British EIC taking control of Bengal. The Bengal Subah had the alliance of the French EIC and was led by Siraj-ud-Daulah.
